Profile

Brandon Niblett and Derek Odell started making quirky, lo-fi, electronic music in 1996 at the age of 18 under the name Cosmos. They released the cassette PRESS PLAY ON TAPE in early 1997.

They continued to make music together, later releasing four tracks on asciipr0n.com as Cosmos Computer Music and a single track on MP3.COM under the alias Komputergurl.

Then, in July 2002, Brandon died tragically.

Gradually, more and more of the unheard back catalog of Cosmos Computer Music is being released on MP3.

Komputergurl's I Love My Speak and Spell got picked up for inclusion on the 2003 compilation VGM Mix Tape #8 by No Sides Records.

In 2006, the Cosmos Computer Music back catalogue was released as eight 4-track MP3 EPs.

2007 sees two more Cosmos Computer Music tracks surface on the anal0g.org compilation, Wires4. There are also plans for the release of three more EPs by the end of the year.
